Volunteer Preparedness Workshop: 7 to 8:30 p.m., Oct 14. (Location to be determined)
For the person considering God’s call into the community. This 90 minute workshop helps the person in the pew explore individual skills, talents and passions and make prayerful choices of where to go. For Congregational Leadership:
Volunteer Management Training: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., August 4, 11, & 18, The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, 6128 Delmar Blvd. (Free parking across the street at the Pageant)
For those who recruit, screen and manage volunteers. Please attend all three sessions as different topics will be presented each day. Open to community organizations and congregations.
Liability Issues in Healthcare Volunteering: 9:30 to 11 a.m., Sept. 24, The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, 6128 Delmar Blvd (Free parking across the street at the Pageant)
A panel discussion addressing questions for the healthcare professional who volunteers and for organizations that engage these volunteers. The panel is comprised of four attorneys, one representing individual professionals, another represents a company offering liability coverage, another representing medical centers, and the fourth representing the Missouri State Office of the Attorney General which administers the Legal Expense Fund.
