This DVD serves two purposes:

1) To serve as a “convention mini-report” and to include key elements that advanced and fostered the mission and partnership focus of the 2006 District Convention
2) To describe the Faith Aflame Mission Endowment Fund in more detail for those congregations who hope to expand their mission or plant new missions in the future

First, inform your church leaders and elders about the Faith Aflame convention, as well as the Faith Aflame Mission Endowment, and have them preview all the contents of this DVD so that they
1) can be well-informed about mission activities throughout the District and
2) can determine ways to share this information with your entire congregation

• Insert the DVD into a computer DVD-ROM to print and share printed materials with select congregational members who want more details about either the convention or the Faith Aflame Mission Endowment
• Show the 10-minute Faith Aflame introduction video to your entire congregation – before, during or after one of your worship services – to demonstrate how Missouri District congregations like yours are working in partnership to reach the unchurched
• Discuss with your members how your congregation can expand its mission role and outreach activities into your community
• Encourage individuals to take advantage of congregational scholarships that allow your members to be trained for mission outreach
• Form a committee to determine if your congregation can qualify for a mission grant for expanded mission outreach or new outreach
• Use each of the six videos and the five devotions included in this DVD to structure half-hour or hour mission-focused Sunday school Bible classes or as part of a special mission-oriented Bible class
• Involve all age groups – As examples, explain the meaning of Faith Aflame to children in your Sunday school classes and help them to appreciate that mission work is not just overseas, but happens each day within your congregation, your community and throughout Missouri; work with your District Mission Facilitator to offer your youth group opportunities to visit and serve various missions throughout the State
