| Mold
in the basement!
You fear it yourselves.
Mold. One of the District's most strategically
located mission sites has been infested with mold that
is not covered by insurance. We need your
help to make the building more habitable for
ESL classes, worship and all sorts of outreach.
The building can be used for urban outreach, Bosnian
and Vietnamese ESL classes and a Hispanic gathering
center.
I
want to be a church planter!
Church planters have a certian quality about them.
A heart for the lost along with skills that need to
be honed. Before allowing a missionary to plant
a church, they are carefully screened and trained.
Training is rarely local, so in addition to registration
for The Mission Planter's Institute, there is travel
and lodging to be covered. The Mission Board believes
this is the best way to ensure that a new missionary
gets off on the right track and that a new mission
takes off with the sharing of the Gospel.
We
want to start a new church!
The call we yearn
to get. A group of
fellow Lutherans seeing a need in their region
call the District and ask if we can come and
help them start up a new mission. Family of Christ
in Ashland and New
Life in Liberty started
in such a way. It is important that a District
have funds available to help a fledgling mission become
a thriving church.
