| Over
40,000 Bosnian refugees have immigrated to the St. Louis
area. They need to learn English and want to become
friends with Americans. The Bosnian’s need assistance
in language learning, functioning within the American
culture, work force and health care systems.
CFNA envisions Christians throughout St. Louis building
intentional friendships with Bosnian refugees by serving
them and meeting their needs. They trust God will bring
the Bosnian refugees to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Without partnerships with Christians, these Muslim
people will not hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nor
will they live with the true God in heaven.
You can help!
Mevla Nujdzic-Celic
was born in Germany to Bosnian parents. Her mother was
Catholic and her father, Muslim, however, neither practiced
their faith religiously. Through a dramatic experience
following surgery, Mevla came to love the Lord Jesus.
She then began reaching out to others in need by working
in social service. Mevla immigrated to the U.S. in1998.
Life in the U.S. has not been easy for Mevla, her husband
and two small sons. However, she is passionate about
helping Bosnians understand the truth of God and wanting
them to know Jesus.
Please pray that Mevla’s health will improve so
God can use her language skills, charisma, respect among
the Bosnian community and her social service experience
to help those who are spiritually lost.
